RattRace 2016

2016 Rattrace

15 July in Fugitives Drift Lodge

The weekend of 15/17th July 2016 saw the tenth and final (in its current form) David Rattray Foundation Rattrace being held over the 34 km track in and around Fugitives’ Drift, near Rorke’s Drift, in dry and dusty northern Kwa Zulu Natal.

This highly successful annual fundraiser attracted a group of friends and family who have been consistently loyal to the memory of David and in support of the activities of the DRF. Their kindness and generosity saw a record amount being generated through fines and entrance fees. This year’s race also saw a record number of Zulu entrants – 43 in all.

A combination of hard riding and fun-filled activities kept the days – and nights – filled with activity, and with James Hendry providing hilarious, sing-along, foot-stomping musical – and non-musical – entertainment.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the past, who participated this year, who have made this event what it has become and who contributed in so many ways to making this another Fugitives’ Drift memorable occasion.
