South Africa's coastline boasts the "Garden Route".

At eastern end of the the Tsitsikamma National Park, SA's pristine coastal preserve is Natures Valley.This is one of the most unspoilt and staggeringly beautiful coastlines in the world.

Nature's Valley, a little hamlet of privately owned holiday cottages, actually lies within the Tsitsikamma National Park.

The Rattray family own one of these cottages.

Nature's Valley's unspoiled beach is literally over the dune. The lagoon, the yellowwood forests and Salt River Bay are all within easy, short walking distance.  There are fabulous walks through the forest, the birdlife is spectacular and Plettenberg Bay and the Robberg Nature Reserve are half an hours drive away.  Knysna is 45 min drive from Nature's Valley.

Nearest airport is George (limited flights in and out), Port Elizabeth is 2 hours drive away and is often more convenient as there are more flights. Hired cars are available at both airports.

Servicing of cottage available daily at a modest fee.

Restaurant and general dealers shop for basics is nearby.

The cottage consists of :

main en suite bedroom upstairs with private sitting room

sitting / dining room

well equiped kitchen (stove/microwave/fridge/freezer/washing machine/dryer) and Weber barbeque

outside covered verandah with eating and sitting area
downstairs: 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and one with double bed, bunk room with 8 beds, bathroom with shower/loo/basin, separate loo, hot shower outside.

Linen and towels available on request.

Canoe/body boards/paddle skis available for use.

Cost to hire the cottage:

1-4 people - R1200 per day

5-10 people - R1800 per day

daily maid service (excluding Sundays and public holidays) R 80 per day
